The sheet stuck to the back of the box is now tucked inside and acting as a bookmark.

Me too Firehazard and it did not even recocgnise the fifth disc at all ?
I have edited and sent it to gracenote, not sure how this works though /

The liner notes are now at http://www.pogues.com/Releases/Disco/BoxSetPage.html . It is bold for bold, italic for italic, bug for bug compatible.

Enjoy!

Thanks a ton Mr. Chevron you are truly my hero :)
You guys really seem to have a lot of respect for the Pogues fans of the world... Unlike a lot of other bands that don't care about thier fans. It is truly refreshing in a world of such indifference.

And Dzm for hosting it.... Thank you very much, again you have added a reason why this is my favorite web site ever :)

My disc 4 doesn't work hardly at all. It keeps skipping and such. Anybody else had that problem?

I got my beautiful box set yesterday. Mr Chevron, I totally agree that it is more important to have the great artwork on the back rather than the track listing, which is now safely tucked inside.

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you Mr Chevron. You are clearly not just 'In the Band', but also a fan like the rest of us, of the greatest band of all time.

Now for the new Pogues album Mr C.?

And now it has arrived... Hard to say when any other CD will make it to my player. I feel like a kid in a candy store.

My iTunes doesn't recognise Disk 5 - is there any work around? Still, I've got 4 disks to appreciate before that one!

Does it not still play, albeit without the track information which iTunes seems to have ommited to input?

You can update the track info yourself by right-clicking on the track (once you've uploaded it to your iTunes) and choosing Get Info. Put the Artist/Track/Album details on the 'Info' tab.

Sorry if you already knew all that and you've got a problem of another nature!!

I ordered it yesterday, they shipped it today, can't wait!

Hello again:

It's been quite the week. I wrote on 23 May that US buyers should opt for buying directly from amazon.uk as they will deliver quickly. My Pogues box arrived in Illinois today, 5 June (it was mailed 1 June) and it's quite a great looking package. I've not yet begun playing it, but as soon as I am finished here, I go straight upstairs to the stereo room!

This week brought my oldest birthday yet, my Pogues box and Barack Obama as the Democratic choice for President in the US. Weeks rarely get any better.

By the way, thanks Philip, you've helped to create a beautiful looking box. The Pogues are something to be proud of.

Thanks.

In fairness, I had very little to do with how the box looks, apart from donating a few old snaps. Darryl and Spider, along with Siobhan MacGowan and the consistently good Phil Smee would have to take credit for various components of how the thing looks, and I agree, they've done a terrific job, especially on the 64-page booklet.
