Yikes, thanks for that! Cancelled my .co.uk order. Wow, eligible for free shipping, so it works out to about 11 bux per disc before taxes, not bad at all! And this time i remembered to order via the link on the front page...

Don't mind the delay, thanks to satanicsurferz for the info and DzM for the reminder to order through Medusa. I'd complained to Amazon.ca awhile back, and I bet others did too. Glad I checked my email tonight.

Free shipping, No customs, No exchange...sounds to good to be true!

It's true!! Just cancelled my order with co.uk and reordered through .ca. If the exchange rate holds 'til ship date I've saved myself about ten bucks, and will probably get it a couple of days sooner. 8)

Goodnight Irene

Post Wed May 28, 2008 11:36 am

I notice that iTunes also lists Goodnight Irene (Live at the Town & Country, London, March 1988) as the last track. Perhaps it is intended to be a "hidden" bonus track on the final disc

I just cancelled my UK order and re-ordered from Amazone.ca (using the Medusa link on the front page). I assume that we Canadians stand to save a bit more then the ten dollars, probably about an extra $25 CDN. on customs and brokerage. Be warned that you do need to actually select the Super Saver Shipping in order to qualify for free shipping.

Amazon.com just dropped it even further to $60.98

Just re-ordered it and cancelled Amazon UK

The price for the box-set on Amazon.co.uk rose from £34.00, when I originally ordered it, to £39.99 currently. Meanwhile, on Amazon.com, it's dropped from $115 originally, to just $68.98 now!!! :o

Available only June 17 though :(

Cool! Thanks for the update. 'Bout time Amazon CA listed it. I've added the link to the front page, etc. Using the link there rather than the direct link here will, as per usual, help keep Medusa afloat.

Hello DZM

thanks for the info update, i canceled and placed my pre-order via Amazon.ca to keep a few sheckels in my pocket, the savings just go towards buying more Pogues related cd's et all, i also placed an order for Ghostown, TVTube Heart, and also the remastered versions of Pogue Mahone and Waiting for Herb via Amazon.uk, i placed them all through this site so hopefully some of the sheckles to filter down to the Medusa sight.

just had to have those re-mastered cd's to get those extra songs??........................LOL..............aka our discussion at Roseland in March??....................gimme more just gimme more Pogues yeah baby??

the wife is going to kill me one day, but hey at least i will go happily being totally Pogefied to the end EH??

We bought a wee Toyota Townace mini van, and it needed the fuel pump rebuilt. Well, it's taking Mr. Diesel mechanic a long time to get around to it, then he realized he needed to order a wee bit from Japan... so now it's a race, what will come to us first, our Townace or the box set?

Update!!!!!
New Pogues songs from the box set on the myspace page

1. Dirty Old Town (live)
2. Eve of Destruction (great song)
3. When the Ship Comes In (demo)
4. Got A Lot of Livin' To Do
5. London Calling (live with Joe Strummer)
6. Japan (live in Japan, 1988)

Great songs, now bring on the box set, were in for good times my fellow Medusans. :D

Tower.com had the Pogues box set listed this afternoon at $52.99 anyone order it at that price? The amazon.ca price looks attractive as well (think it works out to $55 US dollar amount) Tower has changed the price it's now $76.99. Amazon US have the box listed at $60.98 (?) although I don't why they show a June 17th release date when it's listed as June 2nd everywhere else. I want my Pogues now and I meant yesterday. :D

I'm really sorry I didn't realize that :( I know this site keeps everyone up to date on all things Pogues related. I only find out about the Tower price this afternoon. I went back to the site later and they changed it to the price $76.99 (which it had been priced earlier). I was very tempted to order through amazon UK but with the US dollar taking a beating (nearly 2 dollars for 1 pound) I had to find the best possible US price. Amazon still have it priced at $60.98 which isn't bad but I think the Canadian price is good also but haven't order from amazon.ca before.

You listing raft appreciates all the support you can give her, but wouldn't begrudge you for a moment getting the best price you possibly can.

If you find the box set for $29.99 somewhere, buy it! Your listing raft will survive. If you feel really guilty about it, you can always PayPal a couple of shekels toward her upkeep.

You can also try Barns and Noble here in the US. $49 and $43 + tax if you're a member. Best I could find.
