I am sitting here with an album called Live For Ireland which was released in 1987. A compilation of Irish music for Self-Aid in 1987. On this abum is a live performance of Dirty Old Town. Were there other recordings made of the Pogues at this venue?

no it's not - this is a "best of the best including the best of the rest of the best and maybe a bit of the very best from the ultimate collection" and the Live in Brixton 2001 show from the "ultimate collection"

The Rhino Records website doesn't seem to have any information posted on the box set. It's not mentioned in the upcoming releases section. These dudes are slacking.

Actually, the Box Set does not currently have a release date as Mr Rhino (in the UK) is still following up licences and so on. They will not settle on a release date until the Box is legally locked down. So I'm thinking April, maybe.

Warner Music/Rhino UK have informed me that the box set will be released on April 28, 2008. I am further informed that "this date will not be allowed to slip".
