Re: US Amazon Buyers!

I ordered through Amazon.uk, and I am paying £37.11, so it looks like you can save a few dollars if the exchange rate hold.

Does this price now make it cheaper then ordering it through Amazon UK? I placed my pre-order through there.
I'm "exchange rate-challanged."

$82.49 == £41.7734

Anybody know how much it will cost in the shops? I going to be in Glasgow when it´s released so I´m interested in UK prices. Don´t know if I´ll buy it there or from mail order. The Swedish price was £10 higher than amazon.uk so maybe that´s the best deal. Hope that Goodnight Irene has been added :D

Don't know precisely, but it'll doubtless be more expensive in the UK shops than online. So much though I'd love to support the local record store,* I'll doubtless be ordering it from Amazon. I will of course make sure Medusa gets a little slice: viewtopic.php?f=22&t=8559

*Actually the local record store doesn't really exist any more round here anyway. :(

Your Medusa is glad to fill the role of Local Shop. Pleased to be helping her liberate some of your lucre from The Machine.

Thanks Iain and Philip for all the info on NW 3.

And the 87 version really sounds spectacular!

One more question, did Shane actually work with meals on wheels?
I guess it wouldn't have been in 1963. Or maybe he was a very mature six year old.

NW3 is based, in part, on the experiences of Maurice and Therese MacGowan in London.

Well I just listened to NW3. I'd only heard it on the Falconer Demos and Sweden '88, the Falconcers didn't have audible instrumentation, and Sweden '88 didn't have clear vocals. It's really an incredible song.

Thanks for the info. Will you be adding this (or any other tracks from the box set) to your live setlist?

FYI people in Canada: you can't use amazon.ca to order the box set. The link that does work is http://www.amazon.ca/international.
Hearing NW3 has given me a serious case of earworm. Must listen again!

All that page will do is redirect you to the other Amazon stores (.co.uk, .com, .de, etc).

Following the Amazon links on the front page, or on the Merch page, takes you to the same stores, but attaches the Medusa affiliate ID to your purchase. This helps pay for our listing raft's upkeep. Just a thought.

What the heck is with the bouncy pricing? I don't know if I should wait for it to drop some more or if I should hurry before it goes up again...? :|

They will adjust the price to whatever it is on the ship date. If it's more expensive now and it drops by the time it ships, that's what they charge. So you can still order it now and if it becomes cheaper, that's what you'll pay. (This is what Amazon claims and based on experience it does actually happen.)

If you're ordering from Amazon.UK, the price is based on the exchange rate at the time of shipment as well as factoring in any drop in the actual cost.

Sometimes you just have to take the plunge; I locked in early and I am not worried. I figure in the end it’s all the same; the difference would probably be just a couple of dollars. I find the worst part is just waiting for it to arrive...I am really looking forward to reading the liner notes :)
