guess so. I spent last summer finding the majority of those EPs and such that comprise the bonus tracks on vinyl. glad i have them, but wish i had known this would happen a few months sooner. i also already have six of the seven on CD as well. i can't convince myself that owning two CD versions and a vinyl version of each album is really worth the money, but of course i say this in the context of said CDs having not yet been released...sigh.

there's a few typos in the liner notes. Steve Earle says 1987 when he means 1988. Elsewhere someone says 1997 when they mean 1987 ... Otherwise fantastic editions roll on the treasure chest

Well.. they aren't really remixed but only remastered? The mix on the most albums where flawless from the beginning. :)

There's probably a little louder sound and more bass on Hell's ditch, just like the rest of the reissues.

Does anyone know if the remastered Pogues' albums will be released in the United States? Thus far I have only been able to find imports.

At this time they're available only in Europe.

There have been rumors that they will be released internationally (including North America) in 2005, but nothing is certain until it happens.

Although the release date seems to have been pushed back a couple times, I have seen on a couple websites that the new date for release is Feb 8 (in Canada, at least). I picked up Red Roses For Me and Rum, Sodomy and the Lash as imports and am hoping to get the rest sometime after the Feb 8th. Future Shop's website is taking pre-orders for If I Should Fall From Grace With God based on a Feb 8th release date. Very reasonably priced as well, at $12.99 CAD, with free shipping.

Newfie, I second that motion.

I too picked up the first three as imports via Ebay, which were all pricey acquisitions.....When I checked with Sam's in Toronto, they too told me that the Reissues would be VERY reasonably priced on Tuesday, Febuary 8th..

I shall keep my fingers crosses crossed until Tuesday!

I've been able to get them all easily in various branches of Tower here in DC.

They have each cost $15.99

I saw all the albums in release order this afternoon at my local Boarders, $21.99 US each. I tried talking one of the employees into dropping $10 off and I would buy them all then and there but he said no.

Just got back from the local Borders (in the UK) where the remastered CDs are on offer at £7.99 each, or 3 for £20. They didn't have them all in stock - but for anyone in the UK, it might be worth checking out locally.

That's a little stupid I think. By now, every good record store should have received all the CDs on import. Mine has. So every Pogues fan will already have the CDs once they're released.
