Rare Pogues single on eil.com

Post Tue Apr 03, 2007 6:24 pm

For those that are interested:
eil.com have got a copy of the rare, "mail order only" release of Sally Maclennane. It's a bit pricey though.

I've seen it on Ebay now and again too, not all that often though and I'm sure it doesn't go cheap... maybe a little cheaper than this listing though.

It's a nice item though. And I haven't got a copy, which is annoying. :x

I can't remember what I paid for mine, but I'm sure it wasn't this much. On the other hand, I'd expect it to appreciate some over four years....

Looks like I maybe wrong/way out on the price of these things today. £22.56 for the above one. Also the 12 " Sally Maclannane also going for very similar prices. Thats alot of money for a 12" even with apprention.I think I only paid about £3 at the time of release.Suspose if you really want it you pay that kind of price.

I got the Sally Mac 12" for about £2.50 on Ebay just before Xmas, so either I got an ace bargain or those Gemm prices are hiked way up - which they often are.

Is it the same Sally Mac 12"? The one above was a limited edition, only available via mail order. The tracks were live recordings on the mail order one.

The only Sally MacLennane single that is rare is the UK 7" with regular sleeve(200 copies made), not poster sleeve.

No, it's not the same one actually, I stand corrected. Still a nice record though! :D

Les Enfants Du Rock also has some brief footage from Elephant Studios while we were recording Poguetry In Motion. Paul Scully, Nick Robbins and Frank Murray can all be spotted and Elvis Costello is interviewed.
