FairyTale NY on Piano

Post Wed Dec 15, 2004 2:03 pm

It must be the Christmas spirit grabbing hold of me, but i'm dying to find out the notes for the introduction of FoNY on Piano.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance and Happy Christmas

someone tabbed the piano part for guitar, so if you know the notes on guitar you can figure it out:

Oh, this is a job for me. Except - how you want it? I wouldn't be much good at writing it out notewise, and I'm not sure how to go about telling you where to stick your fingers, if you understand me. Let me think about it. I'll be back to you. I have to say, it's really all that difficult - except, the sodding mistakes I make playing it live would tend to belie that. There are a lot of suspended tonics in it, if that's any help (sounds like something the matter with one's drink), and if that's what they're actually called. As I say, let me think about how to go about communicating how it might be done.

aw thank you so much.
i'm not sure about the best way to communicate it is either, ummm
However's easiest for you, I really appreciate it, I'm dying to be able to play it. I'm not a piano player, but i can sit down and practice something loads and be able to play it well.
Thanks again :D

The song is, I believe, also all nicely arranged for piano, guitar and voice in the "Best Of The Pogues" songbook.

Somewhere on the internet hangs midi file of Fairytale (google will help you) and there are notes. +I guess you can something of your own, but imho midi+good feel is enough to play it well.

I'm not sure where/if it's been pruned, but this question was asked around a year ago. If I can find the topic, someone with a sheet music program printed up the first part of it. Again, not too sure if it's still here, but I'll give it a go.

I can play that beginning bit that was posted on that other thread.
Does anyone have the music for it? If so, would you be able to scan it? If I have ANY music you want I'll be happy to scan it for you :D

And isn't it somewhere else on this site? I remember someone asking about this a while ago. I said I'd find the time to see how to do it. I didn't find the time, sorry.
