Why does MacGowan dislike Hell's Ditch

That's sheer class! Personally I've got a lot of time for Hell's Ditch, largely coz I like the stripped-down feel of it. After the brass and strings and guest artists and big arrangements of 'Fall From Grace' and 'Peace and Love' I like the fact that it's just The Pogues (ok, and Siobhan Sheehan) playing simple tracks. Reminds me of the first 2 albums in that sense.

Quite. I also think the album has such a unique atmosphere. You just cannot beat tracks like 5 Green Queens and Sayonara.

Sorry forgot to mention that one. 5 green queens and jean is pure genius, absolutely brilliant song. I appreciate being allowed to voice my views even though they mightn't be popular ones. The way some forums have gone it would be treated as sacreligious or something.
