I would recommend, if you are starting from scratch, buying a best-of. I know of no Pogues free music. You have to either buy it, or steal it. You are obviously already on the internet, so unless you are a total idiot (not saying you are not) you can use the power of the internet to find places that let you download music that others share. But coming to the Pogues web site and asking for advice "publicly" on how to rip off the band, now that's brilliant. Good thinking, skyblue.

It is considered Bad Netiquette to ask for mp3s of official releases anywhere - even worse when you do it on the official forum of the band in question. Of course there are plenty of people here who have illegally downloaded songs of the Pogues, but it's really something that isn't talked of. You can probably find a "best of" (though I rather prefer the "rest of the best of") CD somewhere for next to nothing. Try that instead

Now, if your reason for asking is that you don't really know the band well enough to want to invest money, I'd suggest you try to find streamable music somewhere online. If I'm not seriously mistaken you will find samples - maybe even whole songs - of the Pogues at last.fm. Or you could always listen to a CD or two at the record store of your choice.

If you need further hints on the issue, I suggest you pick up a hammer and a chisel and turn that wheel less square yourself
