And for that matter, the Pogues' tracks on the "Sid and Nancy" soundtrack aren't too bad either.
I love "Straight to Hell." I've got the DVD & VHS, the soundtrack (yes, on CD and vinyl).
The movie is filled with so much goodness. The backstory about how all these musicians ended making a movie is great. The fact that there's no swearing ("Just what in the heck is going on here?"). The idea of a whole gang living life as a cliche ("Boys - get the long coats.") Great lines like "Looks like a coffee adict to me."
What's not to love in this movie?
And the Sid & Nancy soundtrack has some great tunes in it. I love Hot Dogs With Everything. Wonderfull classic punk there. And I find myself very fond of Jem's incidental music ("Junk Theme," etc).
