I was just curious, because I'm sure it must have sold a fair few copies - and if you add the downloads, its must have sold a load!
The Boy's of the NYPD choir Were Singing Galway Bay, and The Bells were Ringing out for Christmas Day.

I don't have figures to hand. The week it was No 3 it sold just under 40,000 copies.

Would have done better if it wasn't for Shayne Ward.

You absolute twat! How the fuck can u compare such a piece of utter shite with the genius of MacGowan. If you like that Ward wanker u can jump in the river and drown.

Now Chico on the other hand, theres a true genius songwriter who could rival MacGowan any day.

How Many Copies of Fairytale have been sold?

Post Fri Dec 22, 2006 10:49 am

I was just wondering - across all the releases, from 1987 to the re-entry this year, does anyone know how many copies of Fairytale of New York have been sold? it must be in the high thousands surely, given the introduction of Downloads? can anyone shed some light? cheers!

What, No 3 just on the downloads? Imagine if you'd re-released it again.
