I'll watch it just as soon as I've finished listening to Flogging Molly.

Thanks for the link!

Re: Tuesday Morning. Looks like only Spider and Terry participated in the video shoot and they borrowed clips from other Pogues videos as a backdrop?

We were seriously losing interest in making promos by that stage. In fact, we were seriously losing interest in anything that was not an actual gig, as witness the David Letterman show in early 1994 in which "The Pogues" consisted of Spider Stacy and my then guitar tech Paul "not the U2 manager" McGuinness.

Sorry, it was pretty rough by then, though in fairness, Spider did not quite lose his keenness for another couple of years, old soldier that he is.

Thanks for the info Mr. C. And certainly no need to apologize! Especially when I get to see you all perform it live in NYC in just a few weeks!! :)

And thanks for making the trip! This will no doubt be one of the best weekends of my life.

I can't get the videos to work unfortunately, but funny to read an article on Phillip that points to an old picture of the Pogues saying that he's in the "center" - where unless I am completely mistaken is one Jem Finer!
Last night as I slept I dreamt I met with Behan, I shook him by the hand as we passed the time of day.

A photo in the NME of me emerging from a swimming pool in New Orleans was captioned "Joe Strummer Gets In The Swim". It's the curse of The Replaced, I think. Or maybe just drunk journalism.

Excuse my ignorance, but what is the job of a guitar tech? To get them onstage? To repair them?

An instrument tech takes responsibility for all aspects of the maintenance, tuning, well-being and porterage of his or her designated instrument. In practice he/she will multitask on several instruments. In the Pogues, at any one time, you will currently find any two of three such angels, Jos, Murray and Buddy, working on and behind the stage.

I see. Does this mean that those helpful persons could even stand in if one of the band is not able to perform?

I remember once when we were opening for U2, driving up to the backstage area to the familiar sound of a U2 soundcheck. Making my way to the stage to say hello to the guys, I was amazed to discover they weren't there, that their techs were doing the soundcheck. Note perfect. Very spooky.
