T & C DVD vs. CD

Post Tue Feb 14, 2006 5:51 pm

Hello.

I read somewhere that there is a CD of Town & Country show - the same show that exists in DVD.

The CD is the full show. Has a lot musics more.

Is this true? Where can we get the CD?

By the way, Pogues, please come to Portugal. I would like to see you again. Specially where I live, in Ponta Delgada - Azores islands.

See you.

There is a bootleg CD called "Finding Partners To Get Drunk With", but it has the same track listing as the DVD.

the difference would be that the bootleg with the same tracklist as the video/dvd is bootleged from the video/dvd, so the sound is good. the bootleg with the FULL SHOW (or shows, as T & C was culled from a couple of gigs, i believe) is that it would be an audience recording, and hence of dubious sound quality.

having listened to a few pogues audience recordings, i can tell you that they don't tape well. it's a wonder the band ever gets good live sound wiith all those amplified acoustic instruments in the mix, kudos to the soundman/men!

I remember years back on a trip to London, I bought a double tape of the T + C St.Pats show. It is long since gone along with many other tapes I had. From what i remember about the recording was it was pretty dire. But at the time I thought it was cool buying from some dodgy bloke on Camden Market....lol
