right, I'm sure this has been asked countless times by folks on this forum but I simply cannot be fucked to search through them, will the pogues ever reform and bring out another studio album with or without shane?
because this lot confuse the fuck out of me, from what i have read on various websites (some more reliable than others) it seems that every fucking member of the band has left then come back and left, and at brixton everyone was there, I am still confused as to whether A them lot are getting back together and B whether it is just for live shows or will they ever release another album

As far as I know no member of the group left, came back and left again and was back in Brixton for the x-mas shows.

Answers to your questions:

The Pogues officially split in the mid-nineties ('95/96 I think?), several original/key members having jumped ship one at a time before this.

The band only got back together in 2001 for a reunion tour. It was so successful they did it again, and again....

None of the band seem to want to commit to any new recordings at the moment, despite much pressure from us fans on this site and elsewhere. The feeling seems to be that they will keep playing together from time to time while it remains a fun thing to do, but none of the members wants The Pogues to become a full-time job again.

Personally I am just over the moon that I've been able to see my favourite band playing together again. Back in the nineties I would never have thought it could happen.
