What I mean

Post Thu Jan 19, 2006 5:36 pm

No No No I meant the vinyl part is grooved in a circular shape but the surrounding shape is a clover. Sort of like this Transplants 10" record.....its shaped like a man's face but is grooved circular so it can be played on a record player.

We never did this, but Horslips did. It's called LONELINESS and turns up on eBay quite frequently. It looks more like a 12", to accomodate the SHAMROCK (not Clover) leaves

I think the Pogues did once release a wheelbarrow shaped picture disc though. If my memory serves me well, it was Sally MacLennane.

Thanks Zuzana. That artwork is quality. The picture on the back looks similar in style to the Irish Rover sleeve. I wonder if it's the same artist?

A pair of brown eyes was also released as a picture disc in the shape of Ireland.

The front showed the Irish map with the back (whiskey you're the devil) displaying a harp.

I own a copy of the Horslips " Loneliness " picture disc Cat - DJT15001
on DJM records. The track "Homesick " is on the b side . Both tracks from " The Man Who Built Amercia" album 1979
"Put the Kettle on ."

No reason to go elsewhere to see those. Here's where they got the images from:
