I think that "Auld Main Drag" is one of the best songs MacGowan has ever written. Brilliant lyrics! But hey, it's a matter of taste, isn't it.

I usually skip "Fiesta" when listening to IISFFGWG.

I must admit that I dislike Old Main Drag, Rainy night in Soho, Fiesta, Summer in Siam, Fairytale...and those are only songs I dislike...partly because they seem overrated to me (all this is imo).

And the purpose I actually started this reply:
orrok61: What you said is nonsense, sorry. The Pogues are underappreciated. Why? Because not all people know them. Who rates favouritness? People who know the songs. And in eyes of those people, the band is not underappreciated (if it would they wouldn't rate probably).

Agreed. 8)

Ps.: Pyro, we know you dislike almost every song except Oretown and Wake Of The Medusa. (only joking  )

I think pyro is just trying to be different for the sake of being different- hating Fairytale? Bullshit. You can not like it as much as others, but outright hating it? Uh, ok.

Fortunately one man's strongly held opinion is another man's belly laugh.

Alex: I see:-)
No, really, even "bad" Pogues songs are better than some "good" songs of other bands - but the Pogues are one of my two most favourite bands (please don´t comment two the most - I know it is a nonsense as only one can be the most, unless the same, which the Pogues and the Clash aren't:-)), so I am rating them in range of Pogues songs...
I truly like about 30 songs by them and I particulary like the rest (except tracks I've written before).

But yeah, those two are great :-)
