Ehm, my memory may play tricks on me, but can't we see him playing the guitar in the scenes with the rest of the band?

Or am I just assuming that he might be visible playing the guitar, because that would be the most logical thing?

Brains are weird things.

Mr Strummer replaced Philip on the '87 US Tour where the video was shot. So no Phil in the video

You may well be right.

I got confused with the Summer in Siam video. Thinking of the fairytale video I had the image in front of me from "SiS" - only in B/W.

I stayed behind in London, in the hospital, and they shot the video without me. Bastards!! Matt Dillon never forgave them.

With the new technological possibilities wouldn't it be a nice idea to digitally put you in the video? Like what they did with Tom Hanks in "Forrest Gump".
You could have sold the "FoNY"-DVD advertising with the "digitally improved Video".

Nah, unexplained absences, like Andrew in a Doily on "Red Roses", are all part of the rich tapestry of Poguetry.

On the subject of unexplained absences, Mr C, where was Jem when you did the Johnathon Ross show?

And, more importantly, where has everyboy's hair gone?!
Bono: "Every time I click my fingers a child dies."
Audience member: "Stop fucking doing it then!"

Jem, wearing either his astrophysicist or avante garde composer hat or both, was giving a long-arranged presentation at the Science Museum that night.

And myself, Terry and James drew the short straws - we all still have hair but we have to sacrifice it to keep Darryl's wigs steadily supplied.

:D

Darry really looks like it was still 1988. His hair doesn't even seem to turn grey.

And while Shane's appearance does not hide his lifestyle, he still seems to have pretty full hair.

( Sorry for talking about hair, but at age 33 you start to worry  )

Never mind losing your hair won't change your personality.

See, that's the problem. With hair lost my full hair won't distract from my horrible personality anymore.
