fairytale of New York

Hi everyone, I'm a Belgian teacher (English AFL) and I would like to discuss one of my all times favourite songs with my students. But there are references in this song that are not very easy for a Belgian to understand. Think about "The Rare old Mountain Dew, Galway Bay ...". Can anybody help me?
Greetings from Belgium

I used it as well in class and especially pointed out the swearing. I also took a recording of Rare old Mountain Dew and Galway Bay

that link should be all you need but note also that Mountain Dew was one of the extra songs on the If I should Fall from Grace with God re-release (with the Dubliners)
Last night as I slept I dreamt I met with Behan, I shook him by the hand as we passed the time of day.
