Monday IS the normal day for the release of singles in the UK and I was always under the impression that FONY would be released on Dec 19. However, it may be coming out a day early because that is the 5th anniversary of La Kirsty's death.

Whether that means it will be in the shops Sunday or Monday is anyone's guess.

I got my copies yesterday, and very handsome they are too.

Hope I don't make a wasted trip to HMV the day after the Manchester gig.

The date used on the front page is just the date I observed mentioned the most often.

Philip - If you know that it's Dec 19, I'll certainly change the page.

My God, I can't believe it's been five years.

[I had written a ton more about this, but then I decided it was all too sad and depressing for a thread where we're celebrating this song and its re-release, so I took it all out. So I'll just say that Kirsty's work means more to me than any other songwriter's ever has, and that even though I never met her, I miss her every single day].

I can't believe it either, Rich. And I can't believe that there's still been no justice for Kirsty and her family. Re-releasing the single is a fitting tribute to a great woman - and let's hope it goes some way towards finding justice too.
