Why is there nothing on the cover to say where the money for the record is going? (Or did I miss something?)

From the Scotsman:

X Factor winner Shayne Ward's debut single sold 313,784 copies on its first day, making it the third-fastest selling record of all time. About 250,000 copies were sold over the counter and the rest as internet downloads. Shayne last night appeared certain of victory in the battle for the top slot.

Matt Phillips, spokesman for the BPI, said: "Seven out of ten singles are sold as downloads and they are going to play a significant part in deciding this year's Christmas number one."

B*gger. (though that arithmetic seems wrong...)

Still can't get hold of the DVD Version, I give up now after spending my lunch hour being tripped up and pushed into CD racks, and I so wanted it.

My copies of the "Fairytale" CD and DVD singles finally arrived from Amazon.co.uk today. (Not complaining -- they warned me when I ordered that it would take a while to ship. Actually I think they arrived a bit faster than they'd estimated). Anyway, I'm really pleased because I'd always wished the Pogues would put out an instrumental version of that track, and it's even more gorgeous than I thought it would be. Don't get me wrong, I love the vocals -- I think Kirsty's on that song is one of the best vocals that's ever been recorded by anyone, anywhere -- but the band sounds so great and there's so much going on in the mix instrumentally that I always wanted an instrumental so I could hear it better. It's really a beautiful, beautiful thing.
