i haven't been able to find any. i've been meaning to get around to tabbing part of "the body of an american" but i've been saying that for a couple months.

at that site with all the pogues/shane tabs, someone did a fingerpicking thing with guitar for tin whistle. it might help you in figuring out the actual whistle part. just look at a diagram of the fretboard (should be easy to find online) and use the notes used there on your tin whistle. maybe i'll get around to doing it sometime.
:D

i just remembered, there's a bunch of tabs for traditional songs here:

http://www.abacci.com/music/whistle.asp

and i think dingle regatta or whatever it's called is on there. not sure how close it is to the pogues version though. so is waxie's dargle, but the pogues super-fucktified how it originally was, so that one sucks.

I'm in the same boat.
I started playing about two years ago though. Played a ton at first, but only pick it up every now and then these days.

I also play the Thin-whistle now and then, not so much now because my girlfriend would strangle me if i would sit around the living room "basing" out pogues tune on the whistle very badly.

I've learned to play a few songs by ear. Although it don't sound as good as spider.

if you want more dropkick murphys you can go look at the sheet music the piper has put on their web site in the "piper's corner". a lot of the time the tin whistle and bagpipe play exactly the same thing.

Thanks

Mac Rua: Thank you. I have a question - how am I suppoused to know octave, note lenght and such things? I would love if waxie´s dargle and streams of whiskey would be available as sheet music as I am too lazy to mishear it. Well I guess I will have to move my...ears probably:-)

Spider Stacy goes nowhere without his sheet music, not even when Patti Smith hires him.
