Hi, everybody. This is my first post in years. I used to be called robertc.
Do you know what "Eora" means? That song is about a war in 1798, but all I could find about "Eora" was some place in Australia.

I'd guess it's an anglicized Irish Gaelic word. Possibly referring to eora which, I understand, is sorta Gaelic for "Europe" (Eoraip).
I look forward to our Gaelic speakers correcting me on this.

Don't know the answer, but a vague attempt to find out led me to the wonderful Parting Glass website:
