Couldn't agree more. But what's wrong with an old-fashioned A- and B-side so we can have both?

Btw I was just about to launch a search party through all the lovely Pacific islands but am glad to see you've reported back for duty :)

searched half the internet for nw3 cause you all seem so positive about the song. Turns out it's on a bootleg lp I have for years. Absolutely a brilliant song. I'd say: rerecord it and put it out on the new album...

The Falconer Demos are the only thing I haven't heard by The Pogues. I know NW3 evolved into Mother Mo Chori though.

It's more "degenerated" than "evolved" I think. Both the lyrics and the rendition are superior in the Falconer version, Mother Mo Chroi sounds quite watered down by comparison.

And it's still one of the best songs of Shane's post-pogues-era.

That's ok. I would prefer to have a remastered copy of it than to not have it released because of a few mumbled words.

My guess is yes, but I don't know for sure without checking the CD.

There's an awsome version of NW3 on a bootleg from a show in Sweden, from '88 (I believe). Much better than the Falconer Demos version, but the sound is pretty bad :/

Mr Chevron, are the four NYC shows going to have a slightly different set list?
