I've been listening to NW3 a lot lately and my favorite line from that tune is:
In the filth and piss they lived in
They'd sometimes hum an air
And talk in tounges of madness
Keeping time upon the chair.
That's just amazing writing.
It's really a shame that the song was never given the proper treatment - that is, recorded for an album. I suppose it's just another entry in the list of things that never quite happened for the Pogues. It's up there with FTONY only reaching the #2 slot, in my opinion.
