FAY wins at getting the early word out on this. But yes! Today this release has been officially confirmed and announced. Limited edition (1,000 in the UK, limited supplies elsewhere), two discs, red vinyl. I'm promised that it sounds amazing. Release date is Saturday, April 19.

Can this be pre ordered? Bought online? or just if you go to a record shop? I suppose it is record shop day

You have to find a record shop first. They're sadly scarce round these parts.

Word received that this is ONLY a record store day promotion. It may become available at a later date on line etc if the limited release worldwide for RSD doesn't sellout.

Happy to accept a prize in the form of one these 2 lps sets! Anyone in the UK willing/able to secure one of these to complete my very truly comrehensive Pogues vinyl collection will be paid handsomely via Paypal.... Please PM when the time comes.

I own and operate a vinyl-only record shop, https://www.facebook.com/donniesrecords#!/pages/Donnies-Records/287232277988698?fref=ts, which has offered RSD exclusive releases in the past, but even I'm unable to get my hands on this from my distributers to sell, let alone to keep just one for myself!

Hopefully, there'll be a proper black vinyl release in the not-so-distant future.

Thanks in advance

Sounds great and something I'd love to buy, especially as I was at the gig. And I agree the cover photo is amazing. However, I am forced to ask, what is the point in this if it is going to be so difficult to obtain? Of course, we haven't had the price of this disclosed, or am I being cynical.......

Well the CD is available in the Pogues 30 Years collection. That's easy to get. The vinyl is a record store day release so how many shoppes are there anyway?

RSD releases are only available in independent record stores on the day. They can't be sold online or elsewhere for a week after RSD though this rule never seems to apply on a certain well-known auction site.

A week after RSD you should be able to order this online from various retailers IF THERE ARE ANY LEFT of course!

My local recordshop sent out a list of the records that was available for them to order to their frequent customers. So I was able to reserve one for myself.

There is one on a certain auction site already, from the USA though

Just back from Record Store Day.... Well happy got 2 copies of red vinyl LP "Pogues and Joe Strummer live in London " 1 to play and the other to keep safe. If anyone else after this Spun out Records in Northampton had about 4 copies when I was in there earlier they have got a internet sales thing as well. I would also like to say thanks to Aidy at Vinyl underground in Northampton for ordering in a copy for me. BUT be warned it is a double album in red vinyl but £32.95 is a bit steep. It looks great and sounds great and is a limited addition so I'm happy thou a bit poorer now.

Well done. No chance of getting hold of it here, as far as I've been able to find out. Of the two local stores participating, as listed on the Record Store Day site, one closed over a year ago, and the other sells only classical music. Sad.
