My eyes are not what they used to be but does that say "...more band favorites..." on the sticker.Did band members have a say in track listing.

Ever since The Very Best of The Pogues - the one with the silver cover and which appeared without any consultation with the band whatsoever, we have sought - and won - input into everything that comes out under our name. Nobody loves yet another repackaging but, if they're going to do them, we might as well be able to at least stand by them.

This in its self does please me.
Do those cds come in 3"s.
I liked the idea of a comp cd with a free live cd as done before. It got the best of both worlds;something for the die hards other than packaging/ the best tracks for newbees. But as an old timer have to wonder if in the time of downloads do comp. cds really work? As a slice of vinyl I would love to own it ,but cd or download....hmm.
Now where did I leave them dammed pipe & slippers.

Was there a particular dislike of something on the Very Best album or was it more of an issue that you felt you should have control?

I don't know if they "really work" but there does seem to be an inexhaustible demand for them, so I suppose they have some function. I expect they sell to people who are not interested in more than a sampling of the band's repertoire.

LOVE the cover, the best since Rest Of The Best (it not being boring band shot / bullshit shamrock / whiskey label / other clunky paddywhackery / that tend to elbow their way onto comp albums.

30 years 30 tracks, penny just dropped.

now can anyone decode RM931 MFF580??

Paul is dead.
