If it's not too much trouble, why don't you do what myself and other fans have done and round it up yourself. I download all the video i can find, bring it into a video editing package and I add titles and graphics. Some of the quality may not be the best but you can improve the sound and picture in the editing software. Burn to DVD and hey presto...... Your own personal box set.

God i'm a nerd

That's Illegal and everyone has not the skills or time to do their "own personal Box Set"

It's illegal for them to be up on youtube in the first place! If the band would have to pay to use them, they shouldn't be on youtube. If i fancy sitting down to watch a 1985 gig filmed in Munich on youtube which is not officially released am i breaking the law? Are you breaking the law? If i save that video onto another media am i still breaking the law?

Making copies of my home made 21st century versions of the old mixtape and selling them would be totally lousy, so don't ask me to send you a copy

I've always paid for legitimate copies of every bit of Pogues officially released music/video that i own.

The sharing around of "ROIOs" (recordings of independent origin) is certainly not illegal. To tape something of TV to watch again later is not illegal, nor is sharing it with a friend.

Package it & sell it, and now you're breaking a law.

Exactly, thanks Low D. It's not the ROIO's but the Old footage shot for T.V. that many fans would love to see packaged. Until then, my little collection will continue to grow as and when time allows.

Lot's of Videos on Youtube has been taking away, usually because TV and Record companys and also artists complain to Youtube
I want a Legal DVD-Box with some TV-shows, as I said to Mr Chevron MAYBE a Record company like the idea.
Led Zep did a beautiful package a couple of years ago so I think it can be done.

You may well be right and if you are, the record companies know where we are.

That's true, but Youtube is a type of public broadcast, not unlike Television, and Youtube makes money. For you to have taped 'em off the television and watch them at home IS allowed. So is copying them to a friend for free. And, many would argue, to share via bit torrent is an extension of this, and hence legal. And thank goodness, 'cause that's where my collection comes from!

Think the law (Uk /Eire/Usa) has always been an ass as regards home tapeing. Its still killing the music industry, lets sell some guns or drugs again instead.
That a side I think a home tape from a tv programe has real time limts. Not sure how long but tape a tv show and you have only a limited time to keep it & legaly watch it.For personnel use of course. Keep it for too long & you are a criminal.Sadly this has no effect on the said artist real income.

Think tapeing of Pogues would be educational and therefore exempt.
Making copies of Fr. McGreer mix tapes would be pure parody and also exempt.
Not sure this would stand up in court or more importantly get the artists paid.

Good question, to which I do not have an answer. However, Amazon France are definitely accepting advance orders for the De Luxe set. I think it's 30 yoyos.

Has the show the "Phillip-sung" version sung version of 'thousands are sailing' been identified yet? (I was at the NYC 2006 shows and sure would love if it was from one of those.)
