And................though it's too late to do anything about it now, it slipped through the copious proof-reading process, that Manchester performance of "Thousands are Sailing" is from 2004, not 2006 as claimed.

It is confirmed that the packages, formats, and contents will be thus:

  • 2 CD set featuring the entire concert
  • DVD (region free) featuring the entire concert, plus bonus performance of Thousands are Sailing in Manchester, 2006
  • Blu-Ray (region free) featuring the entire concert, plus bonus performance of Thousands are Sailing in Manchester, 2006
  • Limited Edition 3-LP vinyl (180 gms) with photo sleeve and liner notes
  • Limited Edition book featuring exclusive text and never before published photos, 2 CDs, DVD of the show, and a bonus DVD featuring two programs including interviews and live performances archived from French television including the cult favourite les Enfants du Rock (Children of Rock) from 1986

We won't be mentioning on the front page the limited nature of the vinyl. Buy yours early and often.

Also also - a plug for Amazon links. I don't have 'em up yet, but once I do if you order them through the links then I get a little kick-back that helps to keep the lights on 'round the raft.

Can you post back here when you get the links for the vinyl up on the front page? I rarely go there for info as it seems like the Fora is the spot for up to the minute info.
And I don't want no grave

And hope there's some soul left to save

As soon as I can dummy up some links I'll pass 'em along.

Pro tip - If you follow the Amazon linkage to anything at all in your region, the things you buy for the next 24 hours send a tithing my way (unless you follow somebody else's affiliate links in that time). So ... If you find something you want to buy AND want to send a few moneys my way, visit Medusa, click an Amazon link for some random thingy (the box set is on the front page and is easily findable), THEN find the thing you want to buy and proceed with the exchange of filthy, filthy lucre for product and/or service.

My gin budget thanks you. And the lights-staying-on-budget that, shockingly, sometimes intrudes on the gin budget. Not the rye budget though. That thing is sacrosanct.

Ooh, yes please, come on DzM, maybe a PM or something? I can help with the gin budget! In a very direct way, like gin on your doorstep.

I do from time to time, just don't always remember in the heat of a "buying frenzy". I promise I'll do better.

I generally do try to remember to click those links from time to time so that anybody making purchases from Mr Amazon's Emporium on this computer helps said gin budget. But do alert us to the new links as soon as you have them, DzM. Copious purchases will then be made. If I can do that before I have to lay out for the transport to the O2, that would be helpful...

I might have to put that as a quote on my social media bios now...

I'm surprised it's not being held back for one of those Record Store Day events, in all honesty. Really looking forward to seeing the DVD though. Something I think we've all waited a long time for.

There will be separate DVD, CD and Blu-Ray formats worldwide.

A special limited edition package including CD, DVD and a special booklet with unseen photos, extra DVD material and suchlike, will be avaialable only from the Universal Music website in France (details later.)

The fashionable thing these days is to have an edition that includes the Blu-Ray AND the DVD formats; so you have the blu ray for home and the DVD for on the road. At least that's the case with the Disney movies.

As much as I am addicted to vinyl (happily), I doubt I'll be able to afford the 3LP... but the CD/DVD boxset I'm DEFINITELY having!! Can't wait for this. Haven't been so excited since "Just Look Them In The Eye..."

Marvellous.

It's even got me back on here for the first time in yonks!
