I don't think they were scrapped just never included :D

The items were filmed by the record company. We just didn't feel that lots of people bigging us up was particularly interesting to watch.

Question for mr Chevron :

Is it maybe possible that we could buy the version we want, directly from this site?, because some versions of the release are not showed on the websites of the shop.

Hope you can say something about this.

Kind regards,

Raymond

All versions will be available from your usual sources on November 12: many of them just don't have the information yet, 4 weeks in advance. The only difficulty I can foresee might be the vinyl version, as only a few outlets will have a market for that. However, it does look like Amazon will be stocking it.

Surely that would be excellent viewing for yourselves, pre concert as you bathe in your bath of asses milk :D

HMV online, although having sod all in the way of product details, DOES seem to have prices

http://hmv.com/hmvweb/simpleMultiSearch ... Search.y=0

Seems, pretty accurate but release date says the 19th now, and it's worth noting that the vinyl is nearly fifty quid.

Ah... I did plan on buying the triple vinyl, but not for that price. That's ludicrous... hopefully it will be corrected before it's actually released. (Fingers crossed).

Given that vinyl is seen as an item for the 'die-hards' I doubt it will, ya know. Most single-disc releases tend to be about £20 now (due to the 180g vinyl they use and all that sorta stuff), so £50 for three seems to be in line with normal costs.

Having said that, considering HMV have got one of the Beatles' remastered double-LP sets on pre-order for £44 and my local record shop looks to be charging £32, there's every chance that HMV are wildly overcharging, which sort of negates everything I've just said...

Shop around would appear to be the cool thing to do. VinylJack is right though - vinyl is now the Premium format because it is serving such a small market in contrast to CDs, BluRays and DVDs.

If it's less than £40 then I'll probably buy it. Annoying thing is I know I'd end up buying the CD/DVD as well. I'm a sucker for things like this...

At least they don't want a grand for the DVD. Love the inclusion of the word 'only'...

Maybe a stupid question, but is there no special Blu ray CD version coming? I can find a book version with 2CD/DVD, but no bookversion with 2CD/Blu ray.

Hopefully is that also coming

It's not a stupid question at all, but no such information has reached my desk. I suppose Blu-Ray has yet to establish itself as the format of choice.

More on the vinyl: I'm told the special edition 3-LP gatefold sleeve 180 gms vinyl edition with printed inner sleeves (and room for a pony) is strictly limited to 2000 copies worldwide.

Frequent visitors to the front page will notice new information (and cover art).

It is confirmed that the packages, formats, and contents will be thus:

  • 2 CD set featuring the entire concert
  • DVD (region free) featuring the entire concert, plus bonus performance of Thousands are Sailing in Manchester, 2006
  • Blu-Ray (region free) featuring the entire concert, plus bonus performance of Thousands are Sailing in Manchester, 2006
  • Limited Edition 3-LP vinyl (180 gms) with photo sleeve and liner notes
  • Limited Edition book featuring exclusive text and never before published photos, 2 CDs, DVD of the show, and a bonus DVD featuring two programs including interviews and live performances archived from French television including the cult favourite les Enfants du Rock (Children of Rock) from 1986

We won't be mentioning on the front page the limited nature of the vinyl. Buy yours early and often.

Also also - a plug for Amazon links. I don't have 'em up yet, but once I do if you order them through the links then I get a little kick-back that helps to keep the lights on 'round the raft.
