well, I'm used to divide what I listen in mood-categories, so...same thing here...

romantic/in-love/sad-because-of-love: A rainy night in Soho
happy/festive: Fiesta of course
wannabe-guitar-player: Dirty old town, the easiest :D

and many others btw.

I have to divide them by mood too.

Just to listen to: Body of an American.
Slow/Romantic: Rainy Night in Soho. (If I had to pick one, it would be this)
Donegal Express is some naughty fun too, although even after reading the lyrics, I still can only make out a few lines!

I must admit that I have about 20 favorite Pogues songs..but when it all comes down to it I think Hell's Ditch and Birmingham Six are the best

Thousands Are Sailing, with Boys from the County Hell, Kitty and If I Should Fall running it close.

I've got 5 favorite Pogues songs:

1) Body of an American
2) Body of an American
3) Body of an American
4) Body of an American
5) Body of an American

Even with all the acclaim it gets, it's STILL underrated. Not just the best Pogues song, but one of the best songs ever written...period. The imagery in that song absolutely floors me -- Bob Dylan on his best day could never match it.

Young Ned Of The Hill is great.

Dirty Old Town is great to listen to live but Body Of An American is probably my favourite.
