Body of an American live is IMO the best. Streams is the song I always whistle at some point every day so it must be up there as well

It would have to be the first song I ever heard The Pogues sing; "If I Should Fall From Grace With God".
The song is brilliant!

I refuse to decide between If I Should Fall From Grace With God and Thousands Are Sailing.

Thousands Are Sailing is without hyperbole some of the most beautiful fucking songwriting ever, but Grace is more anthemic. No other song makes me want to sing along at the top of my lungs quite like it. Both are basically perfection, and just to go against the tide I'll say I believe them both to be far superior to Fairytale.

Come on now Simon, that's like having to pick your favorite child!

Well, OK.......here are some that I like more than others:

Body of an American
Fairytale of New York
Rainy Night in Soho
Streams of Whiskey
Broad Majestic Shannon

I dunno, too hard to pick one. Probably easier to pick a least favorite.

Their version of 'Dirty Ol' Town' is my favourite song of theirs. Fuc[i][i]king brilliant stuff. After that, 'Pair of Brown Eyes'.

Like others have said, my favorite song keeps changing. There are literally dozens of songs that are all great: Sally Mac, Streams, Broad Majestic Shannon, Turkish, Boys From County Hell, Thousands are Sailing, IISFFGWG, Lullaby of London, the list goes on and on. I can't name a single favorite.

Lately, I have been listening a lot to Sea Shanty and trying to sing it all the way through without missing a word. It is a very difficult tongue twister. I have it all the way down except for the line "Then I'll shoot back belly crippling buckets of beer". It's hard enough to say, let alone sing fast between two other lines. It's my 'current' favorite.

It's a slip jig, even Luke Kelly found those difficult.

My favorites vary, but at the moment I'd say:

Waxie's Dargle
A Pistol For Paddy Garcia
Lorca's Novena
The Old Main Drag
Not very sporting to fire on an unarmed opponent. I thought you were supposed to be good. Aren't you the... 'good' man?

Are you sure you don't mean East Clare? West Clare is on the Atlantic.
