I saw a TV coverage of the Pinkpop 1995 from the dutch TV. In this coverage theres a backflash to the 1988 Pinkpop. But only Fiesta. Mr. C lools great there, Shane funny .... Is there a complete coverage avaiable from this 1988 gig?

http://pogueslive.com/pogues/1988.htm tells me:

23-May-88
Pinkpop Festival, Landgraaf, The Netherlands
70 min.

The Battle March Medley / Sally MacLennane / The Broad Majestic Shannon / If I Should Fall From Grace With God / Lullaby Of London / Streams Of Whiskey / Metropolis / A Rainy Night In Soho / Thousands Are Sailing / Bottle Of Smoke / Streets Of Sorrow-Birmingham Six / Johnny Come Lately / Dirty Old Town / Turkish Song Of The Damned / Fiesta / The Sick Bed Of Cuchulainn / Honky Tonk Women

Without Jem Finer, Shane MacGowan on banjo. "Fiesta" was broadcast on MTV, along with a 5 minute interview with Shane (see Videos).

23-May-88
Pinkpop Festival, Landgraaf, The Netherlands
26 min. FM Radio

If I Should Fall From Grace With God / Lullaby Of London / Streams Of Whiskey / Metropolis / A Rainy Night In Soho / Bottle Of Smoke / Streets Of Sorrow-Birmingham Six / Johnny Come Lately

The above songs were broadcast on FM radio.

This woulda been a fun show... any clue when it actually happened Mr. C?

23-May-88
Limburg, The Netherlands
52 min.
with The Dubliners

The Dubliners: Dubliners Fancy / Finnegan`s Wake / Whiskey in the Jar / Molly Malone / Weile Waila

The Pogues: The Sick Bed Of Cuchulainn / Streams Of Whiskey / The Body Of An American / South Australia (Terry vocals) / A Pair Of Brown Eyes / Darks Streets Of London / Metropolis / Dirty Old Town / Sally Maclennane / Waxies Dargle / Irish Rover (with The Dubliners)

Looks like something is wrong here - this show has the same date as the Pinkpop Festival show (above). However, Landgraaf is part of the Dutch province of Limburg, so it is feasible that they played both sets on the same day. If anyone can clarify the position, please let me know. N.B. This show is usually incorrectly titled "Limburg, Germany"

These fora may not be used to arrange the exchange of bootlegs.

Don't worry, that's not one i have a copy of! Not yet, anyway. :P

But in general, if you are interested in unofficial live music recordings, there are lots of on line bit torrent sites dedicated to this sharing. There is a site called "dimeadozen" i would highly recommend, it's where the bulk of my Pogues stuff has come from.

After checking the inbetween songs background audience chatter and that the Dubliners thanks U2 for allowing them and The Pogues to be support act on this gig and checking all possible online sources.
I believe this show to be from 27th June 1987 at Croke Park, Dublin.
Both bands supported U2 on this gig and as far as I can tell this was the only gig on that tour both bands supported U2.
