I have most of them on tape, somewhere (from a generation ago), but I dont listen to them as I have an I-Pod and all the CD's anyway.

I've got most of them (almost all) and even some of the rarer ones - oddly enough I found a copy of the Fairytale Double A-side Canadian press with Thousands are Sailing on the flip side in a small town in France last summer. The others I've picked up along the way at various record fairs and shops around Canada, and Ebay.

I've never really seen a copy of the first singles from Red Roses in any record shops (even in the UK)....nowadays consider yourself lucky if you come across any singles in almost any record shop!....It keeps it all exciting every time I check the "P" section...

aah, there is nothing like putting on an old 7' on the old recordplayer. I listen to them once in a while. I especially like the old stuff like Sally Mac singel, A Pair of.... single, and Poguetry single. The version of Rainy Night in Soho is so good. And also there is something special about old vinyl record.

Vinyl is sacred

Post Tue Apr 26, 2005 3:27 am

found most on eBay... even now, with most of the songs on the rereleased CDs, I dust and brush off one or two at a time and try to listen quietly. (Can't get too carried away with the pier and beam foundation.)

I love the cover artwork and photographs. The back cover of the Dirty Old Town 12" is dislayed in the dining room.

I didn't tend to buy singles back in the olden days. Had little cash to spare, and used to save up for the albums. So my only original seven-inch vinyl is the Poguetry EP, which sadly acquired a big scratch on Planxty Noel Hill (on some drunken night I can't remember, I guess). But there's something about the sound of vinyl that's special, and the turntable is still in regular use.

Just to be clear - aitor is offering to sell or trade the actual artifacts (the vinyl and sleeve), NOT copies/boots.
