Favourates so far are Do u believe in magic, Garbo and the live stuff from 88 that i always loved from vinyl. Thank u so much Mr C. Anyone know if the band will do anything off it on the tour? Cant wait till next sat

I'd like to have tried "The Travelling People" and maybe "NW3", but as I'm on the bench this tour, I didn't get to say so. Looks like we've got "Metropolis" and "Cotton Fields" at the moment.

Will you be making any appearances as a sub phil?!

NW3 would be fantastic to hear live by the way.

Once again, Mr James Walbourne is on the shows, or at least most of them.

My friends and I are all muso twats and we make end-of-year compilations of our favourite releases of the year. It's with some glee that all that previously unreleased material on the box set is therefore fair game for inclusion. But what one single track can you put on? I'm ruling out Rainy Night In Oboe as that was released. Jaysus, one track! One!

Tough call. My vote goes to "Rocky Road to Dublin" because (a) it is a near-perfect piece of music, (b) it sounds great loud, and (c) it's the one that tends to stay lodged in my head more often than any of the other boxed-set songs.

There are of course many other close contenders, but that's the one I would single out.

I have two copies of this, a promo acetate copy and the box set proper and have noticed that there are a couple of distinct "pops" on Disc 1 on the track Haunted at about 2 minutes 50 seconds. I would have not thought anything of this but it is on both copies. Just wondered if anyone's box set is the same? I only noticed it because it is a track that I play quite loudly.

I have the CD box set and I listen carefully to the track Haunted on Disc 1, and I heard no pops, but my system is not the best.

No pops for me either, and I've a pretty good audio set-up - but I still could have missed it, I suppose.

Oh, and if I had to go for one track... oh I dunno... "Garbo" maybe?

No pop at 2:50 in either version of Haunted.

Maybe you got a crappy rip?

A question regarding these promotional cd's;

"THE POGUES Just Look Them Straight...5 x CD acetate set"................for sale at E-Bay.

http://cgi.ebay.ca/THE-POGUES-Just-Look ... 240%3A1318

I already have the box set, but seeing this, begs me to wonder if someone is copying material and selling it for their own personal gain.I have made an effort to only purchase original or new material by The Pogues.

Also there seems to be an endless supply of tankards from the 2001 tour??........................just curious, as i really do not like seeing this group getting ripped off if you wish to call it that. There are copy infringement laws, as we all know, and if we were all to just copy there cd's et all and just hand them out, what incentive would there be for The Pogues or for that matter any group, to keep producing material??

It looks pretty legit to me, though of course I can't say for sure.

The silver tankards sold really badly at the time, so it is still possible they are selling off the back stock.

Thanks for the response Philip, i have been trying to get one of those tankards to add to my collection, but the bidding on them sends them quite high, well at least they have been, will keep trying of course, especially now that i know they are legit.
