I think the instructions for all U.S. products are translated into Japanese and then back into English. Or something. I've had similar problems with instructions on U.S. products.

Now that I've seen this film I have one question - when it gets to the line tipped our hats to Mister Cohan/Dear old Times Square's favourite bard , why does a still of Mister Conan O'Brien playing a guitar show up? Good God! Someone with a Youtube login needs to log on and straighten these folks o...

I read most of it this summer but forgot the book at our holiday place so I'll never know the ending. I heard somewhere that the butler did it, that the boat sank, and that Darth Vader ended up being Luke's dad. Dammit, and I hadn't quite finished the book. How could you, DzM? At least he di...

He's got "a eck-uh-leck-tic " reading list.

(And for what it's worth, I don't believe that he read the biographies of Joe DiMaggio and/or Theodore Roosevelt either...)

To think Shane does this is ridiculous. Do you really think Shane MacGowan has ever needed to pay for sex? Well, Maybe. But to me the question is not of just a sexual nature(the actual act of having sex with prostitutes), it is of a sexist nature. The bit about the women being of different races. I...

Well, I guess that's it orrok. About 10 of us Eastsiders headin' West. No Sheva? No Eric & Mrs. V? My San Francisco-dwelling, East Coast-born brother will be at at least one o' the Fillmore shows. Say "hey" to him for me if you see him -- a tall, thin redhaired guy with glasses.

You hear he's claimed that someone from his opponents campaign hacked into his campaign's website, and he's demanding an investigation? To me this reeks of desperation mixed with BS. Oh No! Somebody came through the private Internet tubes and hacked his public Internets? Oh No! 's what he's claimin...

Bush on the Couch: Inside the Mind of the President by Justin A. Frank. According to the book jacket flap, Frank is a clinical professor of psychiatry at George Washington University. Some of the Freudian and Kleinian psychology he cites is, in my opinion, dated and/or over the top, but it's intere...

I'm writing from the Mission District of San Francisco (downhill from the Castro District & Twin Peaks). My brother lives here and I'm visiting from DC. . Hey Carol! You going? Hey, Eric -- It's not looking likely. I'm out here now 'cause I'm "between jobs," and my bro' bought me a ro...
