Dzm: Sadly, when we expressed our disagreement with his style of writing, he didn´t care, that´s the problem I see. He messes more and more threads. Of course, if people didn´t react to his crap, it wouldn´t happen, but "don´t read it" argumen is not valid, in my opinion. If I start postin...

Indeed, I´m good. The whistle eats more and more time though - I´ll be a whistle junkie in few months :-D And I´ll be buying a set of Uilleann pipes...poor neighbors :-) I agree that FM tries to distance themselves from the Pogues often too much...on the other hand, I believe it´s sort of countermea...

pogues24: But I´m afraid that´s the biggest mistake about FM - I´m not as huge fan of them as of the Pogues, but they play different music. Honestly, if so many people forced me to thank some band in every other interview (and journalists do annoy FM with that very frequently), I´d get pissed no mat...

Hm, I agree that many threads heading towards Oi's show something, but could be done in one thread. I really don´t know...I think that certain part is in scales used - another one in typical distance of notes (I thnk that "cutting" combinations like E-B in Drowsy Maggie, or Morisson´s jig,...

Re: Dutch Courage

Something very elusive... Methinks you'll find it somewhere in the acrid smell of peat burning in the grate of a cosy home. Maybe further along the rolling hills, houses dotted about the paddocks, low stonewalled farms, about the horses, sheep, cattle. In memories - sparked by a scene, smell, sound...

Mr Chevron, I'm sure you're sick of answering questions about the box set, but if you have the time and the inclination: Did you ever establish if the version of 'Wild Cats' on the Sally Mac cassette single is a different mix to the album, and if so might it be included on the box? Apart from the l...

If I come to Ireland and I wrote some industrial song, is it a paddy song? I doubt that...

Cheers, since we got permission to put some songs from Noc s Andělem (a night with Angel), on the internet I posted it (after hours of damn boring work), to youtube. Here it goes: Reels: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=ZAwwVzvE_ss Mermaid: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=VdV1FbI2wH4 Paddy on a rail...

Pyro and MacRua, I think yous two take IrishRover too seriously. For a start, he takes himself seriously, and with such conviction that there is more than enough to go 'round. Second, everything is relative, and we need silly people to make others look smarter. I admit I started taking him more ser...

Yes, and useless bothering of other people is useless bothering of other people. I doubt that it´s matter of discussion either. Maybe this discussion tried to give it´s fruits, it didn´t, and nothing more, except bad blood will evolve. But still I (and certainly not only I) want a solution - (person...

You didn´t get my point. Of course, you piss people off during your life, there´s nothing bad or unusual about that. If you do something crucial for you, and you piss people off, that happens - but I think that oi´s are not really important, and I don´t get why he hasn´t stopped. You can say it´s my...
