The Tune of Streams of Whiskey

Can anyone inform me of the origins of the tune that IS - Streams of Whiskey? All credits seem to be clear that the LYRICS are by Shane, but no apparent mention of the tune. Drinking with them in 1984 at the SU Bar in the University of East Anglia. We lined up 14 pints of Guiness before they went on, Shane had already downed a bottle of gin, I think and was clinging to another of dubious wine.
