Re: Ireland & UK tour Dec 2012

12 Things I Learned Last Night 1. It's a tricky thing arranging to sell spare tickets via the interwebs. You can never quite know whether it will work out in real life. But the smile on someone's face when you do manage to meet and hand over the ticket they wanted is priceless. Hope you enjoyed the...

Re: Ireland & UK tour Dec 2012

Whoohoo! That was fantastic. Nice to meet lots of Medusans. Frank Turner .... Best ever support act? Agreed, Frank was brilliant tonight. Usually prefer him in a smaller sweatier venue but he was on top form, Long Live The Queen was amazing. Pogues were fabulous - highlights for me were Boys, Town ...

Re: Greenwich Summer Sessions, July 30, 2011

What an awesome show. Buzzcocks were utterly superb, a real honour to catch them live. What can I say about The Pogues? The best live band in the world in gorgeous surroundings, beautiful weather ripping through an amazing, note perfect set. Shane was on top form and having a real laugh, and Mr C's ...

My new version of Christmas for Shane

I've always felt really hypocritical enjoying Christmas as much as I do. This morning, still revelling in the joys of Brixton, I came up with a solution. I have decided (as a massive atheist) that from this day forward, I will be celebrating the birth of somebody who does actually bring about joy to...

Re: Brixton - Wednesday 22 December

As ever, the year built up to what is always the most memorable occasion on the calendar...and boy did those Pogues live up to it. Shane sounded snarlingly brilliant, and Philip's energetic guitar bashing kept us dancin' all night long. I was determined to savour every moment, as nothing ever feels ...

Re: Only in it for the money????

For me it's never been about hearing anything fresh, it's about that one day every year that me and the boys head down to Old London Town to get ratted and sing along to some of the most wonderful tunes that shaped my musical upbringing from a band I love, and every year I look forward to how that e...

Re: Brixton - Monday 20.12.2010

Thanks for the reports, it sounds so awesome, I'm sat in my flat in Oxfordshire shouting "MELT!" out of my window. People think I'm insane but I don't care, it's for The Pogues! SO excited for tomorrow!
