I thought he was older than 39 - but it also says age 39 on The Popes website bio of Tommy. If he was 39 he'd be younger than me (aged) 40 but when I met him several years ago he seemed older than me by a few years.

I completely agree with Mr Chevron. Having first saw and even met The Pogues in 1984 aged 18 and then many times subsequently, I can say the first time I saw the return of The Pogues in 2001 was incredibly emotional. When I walked out of Birmingham Academy that night I thought it would be the last t...

Tom was a great musician and a great showman. He will be very sadly missed. I only ever met Tom once and it was several years ago. But fittingly, it was in a bar and he was playing his banjo. Condolences to all who knew and loved him. RIP.

Shane has ALWAYS had a reedy, raspy, rusty almost turberculor aspect to both his speaking and singing voice. I think he had a bit a of cold that day, too.
I think he was great on that show - he looked great. That's Shane.

The New Musical Express used to call Shane 'Fred Perrier'. Based upon the stylish Polo/Tennis Shirt to which the English Tennis Player Fred Perry lent his name. British Mods and Skinheads liked these shirts. Shane tended to prefer red ones. I suspect it was the same one he wore all the time until it...
