Re: Tuesday Morning - the meaning of it

It's written about Spider Stacy's girlfriend. Here's a link to the YouTube video that explains it:

And it is a really good song :)

Re: What book are you reading?

I'm currently juggling A Drink With Shane MacGowan, An Irish Country Doctor, The Last Town on Earth, Harry Potter, and my Stats textbook. I got about a million books for Christmas so I figured I'd multitask.

Re: A new album: surroundedbymountains

I see. I was wondering because the release date was 2008. I guess I'll just have to be patient. I don't see why Bish hasn't caught on more in the US. It reminds me of Jack Johnson and Jakob Dylan and mellowish music like that (but better. I'm not too fond of either musician) and people here adore th...

The One Semester of Spanish Spanish Love Song makes me laugh every time: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ngRq82c8Baw And this is possibly the best video on YouTube. Guaranteed to make you happy. I promise: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zlfKdbWwruY&feature=PlayList&p=3E724D343ED3712B&play...

Re: POGUES - North America, March 2009

Crusty? Old? Not I. I am, however, slightly oblivious to sarcasm. My apologies, Mike. We need a sarcasm font on here or something. The sad thing is that I *have* seen people think that Shane is already dead. :x

Re: POGUES - North America, March 2009

Is shane touring with them here?????????????????????? Back in 1986 or so, Shane was only given six months to live, so I doubt he is still around, let alone touring :P People have been predicting Shane's death for ages. And yes, he's still very much alive (51 years and still kicking) so I'm a little...

Re: A new album: surroundedbymountains

Awesome! Anyone know where I can procure a copy of this in the US? I've been stalking on Amazon.com and even on Darryl's record company's page, but I can't seem to find it :(

Re:

I'll be 23 next January. May as well start digging my grave. :D You've got a whole year until then. My life was just becoming a whole lot more interesting at that age and I was pretty much in control of everything. Enjoy yourself kiddo - even though I know you said this tongue in cheek. Here's the link to his MySpace:

And I highly recommend the CD. It's more pop-ish than the Pogues, but still very good!

DzM wrote:They also indicate that there are three version of Love You 'Til The End (the Pogues' original, and two covers of what I suppose are characters singing it to each other).

One of the other versions is Darryl Hunt's version, which is very good too! I love his voice :)

Re: P. S. I Love You soundtrack

Does anyone know what the soundtrack does not have Fairytale of New York on it? That songs was kind of a big deal in the movie. It would also have been a great way to get more (younger) Americans into the band. I'm 22, and most people my age haven't even heard of the Pogues  Maybe it's just th...
