Re: The Tossers

I bought the live CD/DVD yesterday and it's totally awesome. It shows you that The Tossers are one of the best live acts of the moment. What really bothers me though, is that they play three additional tracks that are not listed (Dancing Shoes, Altercations and another). But those three extra songs ...

Re: The Tossers

I really feel like Tony is trying to become Shane Macgowan. Drinking habits reminiscent to those of the man Yes, because obviously Shane MacGowan is the only musican who drinks. No, it's more his attitude towards it actually, which is really different from any musician who drinks. And as I said, hi...

I really feel like Tony is trying to become Shane Macgowan. Drinking habits reminiscent to those of the man, and I saw an interview with him in which his laugh made me think of Shane's laugh. Maybe it's just me, don't know. :P

Re: Flogging Molly

I wouldn't say that the album sucks, but it's not what I'd call a great album. There are maybe 5 songs that I really like, and that's it. I really like From the Back of a Broken Dream for instance, and Between a Man and a Woman is not bad. Other than that, Requiem for a Dying Song, You Won't Make a ...

Re: The Tossers

The Tossers are releasing a live CD/DVD soon. On Victory's website it says it was supposed to be released yesterday, but maybe because I am in Canada, stores won't receive it before next week. I can't wait! :)

Yes it makes more sense that it's a Jim Morrisson's parody rather than a Shane MacGowan's parody. But not knowing Jim Morrisson quite well, that was an easy mistake to make. ;) But three pictures really look alike though.

I am not familiar with The Doors. Is that a well known poster? Do you have a picture of it? Because maybe The Snake cover looks like Jim Morrisson poster, and Walk Hard poster also looks like Jim Morrisson poster.

Well actually there were four bands that evening, two of which are straight-forward punk bands. The Briggs is one of the two, I just don't remember which one. I assume it's the band that played just before the Dropkicks. If that's the case, they were great. I didn't really like the first band.

The show was yesterday and it was unbelievable. The Tossers played, not in that order: Good Mornin' Da I've Pursued Nothing Aye Sir Tell Me Ma Siobhan The reel on Agony (can't remember the name) Never Enough No Booze, No Loot, No Fun Altercation Irish Rover I think they played some more, but I can't...

So, did you dance safely? Like slows, jigs and all? Hope nobody bumped in each other at a rock show, that would be a shame.

The Dropkicks are more mainstream. That's why they have a bigger following. A little bit like Flogging Molly I guess. The Tossers, even though they are rock influenced, are much more Irish sounding, they have more balads, no electric instruments, they even have acapella songs! So anyway, I got my ti...
