Wow, I never thought i'd hear a pogues song that is unlistenable... but 'Something Wild" is the closest I've heard... easily the worst pogues song I've ever heard! Well I did not think it was not that bad. It’s obviously a predecessor to "London Girl"...I think that a box set should ...
This is how they are remembered in Carol Clerk’s Kiss My Arse – The Story Of The Pogues : The Pogues were supported by Sons Of The Desert who played "rollicking good-time ballroom mini-blitzes" and were briefly co-managed by Frank Murray and Joey Cashman. "I left them in the office o...
ANY ONE EVER SEEN SONS OF THE DESERT, WHO SUPPORTEDTHE POGUES A FEW TIMES? :o Wow I fell into this and I am wondering if it is the same Sons of the Desert that used to play here in Montreal in the 80's... If memory serves me correct they were fronted by a funky curly haired female singer named Niom...

Once the laborious licensing and legal side of the box set was concluded yesterday, the two Pogues/Chieftains tracks are the only two which have failed to cross all legal hurdles. It's too complicated to explain here and anyway, it's been giving me a...
Billy is coming to Montreal in June to play an intimate show at Club Soda. Last time I saw him was with a full band (and Wiggy) at a much larger venue (1991). The cool thing is I actually won 2 spots on the guest list from a sports radio show...So I went to the Pogues in March, will see Billy Bragg ...
