Re: Shane on Lewis Black's "The Root of All Evil"

Yes but it's Black's show and I'm pretty sure he writes it; with others, yes, but most likely any joke on the show is one that he's approved even when he doesn't write it himself.

Re: Limino Mag: Pogues Deliver Two Solid Nights at The Riv

After getting over my delicate flowerness, I'm going to assume it's annoyance that every other group on the planet is allowed the possibility that whatever problem they had was caused by any number of mundane factors, but with this group there must be only one explanation ever for every mistake larg...

Re: Limino Mag: Pogues Deliver Two Solid Nights at The Riv

Thanks.

I'm overly sensitive sometimes. Don't mind me. 8)

Re: Limino Mag: Pogues Deliver Two Solid Nights at The Riv

 I didn't mean for you to have to account for anything. I am annoyed at the writer of the article for printing it that way when it doesn't make sense. I doubt Shane would be so stupid as to mistake a venue. Be tired, be busy with something else, not feel like going, be talking and lose track o...

Re: Limino Mag: Pogues Deliver Two Solid Nights at The Riv

I would imagine that with whatever schedules are prepared, and since there are person(s) who prepare them, and since everyone else apparently "knew" where they were supposed to be, that it would not be likely that he would go to the wrong place and just be sitting there thinking "Huh ...

Re: Limino Mag: Pogues Deliver Two Solid Nights at The Riv

What or who are these "a few new faces since 1991" mentioned? Maybe Philip could tell us the real reason Shane was late. Did he really think they were playing HOB and so was hanging there? I find that a little hard to believe but maybe it's the truth. I'll have to read the Chicago thread.

Re: Shane on Lewis Black's "The Root of All Evil"

I shall forgive your calling Jon "John," this time. 8) Now as for Lewis Black, it was another case of showing a bad picture when there are plenty that are a lot more flattering. And I like him enough but he's really not the one to be making disparaging remarks about someone's looks. No mat...

Re: HOW TO START PLAYING THE GUITAR?

No, he meant that the strings had gotten tighter since he last played it. Is this possible? I have noticed that often the EAD has gone flat but the GBE has either stayed in tune or gone slightly sharp. I did not notice this on my last guitar; on that one they generally went flat only. Maybe it's a ...

Re: HOW TO START PLAYING THE GUITAR?

My fingers/hands are too small to make barre chords. I have always used my first finger and thumb instead. Well if even you can't make them, now I don't feel so bad! I just try to avoid songs with them, or make fake ones if possible. Fake F doesn't sound too far off. maybe tois' toime to change the...

Re: Is the AnneYPetey choir fictional? and other misheard lyrics

These moved posts get me all confusobulated. Makes me think I only imagined posting, or I'm losing my mind, until I figure out it was moved. Going transmetropolitan In my eye! From the dear old streets of King's Cross to the doors of the icy hay I always thought there was some kind of Van Gogh refe...

Re: transmetropolitan

It does! I just thought of it like there was a reflection (literal or figurative) of "transmetropolitian" (whatever that was) in his eye. Seemed logical.

Re: WARNERS/RHINO POGUES BOX SET DUE May, 2008

I was trying to stop myself from listening to any on the myspace but I broke down. I love the version of IISFFGWG. I wish that song were about 10 minutes long. My neighbors must be sick of it by this point. :P

Re: March 19, 2008: Boston...

Your 19 Mar. pictures came out so well. You got a lot of good ones of Shane.

Is it my imagination or did Spider get a tat removed from his right arm? I swear there used to be one there. Is it just the lighting? Or maybe it's up higher and I am remembering wrong?
