Re: Philip Chevron, June 17 1957 to October 8 2013

Thanks for being so wonderful to all of us fans. You truly touched each member of this site, not only with your music, but with your willingness to give of yourself.

Re: Belfast - 6.12.2008

First Pogues gig and truly enjoyed it. I was a bit worried when they went off stage that they weren't going to play my favourite song , Sally Mac. Don't think the bottle were aimed at the band think, a couple of drunk people throwing their beer randomly or trying to hit the security at the front. O...

Love the movie - & I just found the soundtrack at my local record shop. Had a nice conversation with the clerk about how underated the movie was.

It was everything I loved about punk rock, from the lyrics to the energy, and it was everything I loved about folk and country (as a kid), rolled into one. That sound was so amazing to me that it turned me off of country and straight folk almost forever. This was an album with all the social and po...

As Shane himself sings towards the end of the song: "We may never find out what it means" and maybe that's for the best. I like the idea of each of having our own personal meaning. Of course it will be difficult not to think of the Ford Capri now. :)

State of Grace

Gary Oldman was fabulous as expected. Ed Harris wasn't terribly convincing IMHO.

Aha! I'm sure we were all guilty of many such "childish" questions at age 16. No worries - Medusans are typically a welcoming bunch. Don't let this a-typical reaction dissuade you from future posts.

Re: QUESTION ABOUT RECORD MY WAY

Hello, in the book "a drink with shane macgown", Shane said that he didn´t want to record his version of MY WAY, but he had to it. Does anyone know why he had to do it and why he did not want to record it? As it was part of a huge advertising campaign for some product or other, I can only...
