Re: London Feis 2011 Finsbury Park

Man, even without Shane - and I'm prepared for that eventuality - that's a fucking great line-up.

Re: What Is Your Favourite Line/Phrase In A Pogues Song??

By this stage in the thread its pretty clear that as a whole, Rainy Night, wins hands down! What a song, pure poetry1 I always make people check this or London you're a Lady out when anyone questions Shanes writing abilities! London You're A Lady isn't really my favourite Shane lyric. Rainy Night m...

Re: The Pogues Say 'A Parting Glass' U.S. Tour Is Their Last

I do always appreciate the honesty that comes from the Pogues camp. Sad to see one door closing, looking forward to the new music.

Re: NEW Shane MacGowan Compilation Album

Great news! Ive made various DIY Shane comps but they inevitably turn into a mixture of his solo stuff and pogues tracks! Nothing wrong with that, but when faced with such a plethora of top notch material, cutting tracks is like giving away a limb! At least this way the decision shall be made for m...

Re: Shane joins Jools Holland for 33 date tour

Jools has 3 months of dates listed , surely Shane is not going to guest on them all ? According to the tour publicity, "MacGowan will join Jools to create a unique collaboration every night of the tour ". It doesn't reveal who's going to have the job of getting Shane onstage every night o...

Re: Shane joins Jools Holland for 33 date tour

Nearly everyone says that they have trouble understand Shane MacGowan talk, but I've never had much trouble. Jools Holland, however, is always indecipherable.

Re: How Come & The Pogues musical direction

Ok there's a few. I looked through some of my discs nearby and posting those that aren't in that category would be a bit foolish But then again the Velvet Underground, Sex Pistols, Public Image Ltd, Joy Division, Happy Mondays, Tindersticks etc. etc. didn't... I don't know if you can include the Pi...
