Re: Philip Chevron, June 17 1957 to October 8 2013

So very sad to hear this news. A gentle and generous spirit joining one helluva band in the stars today. Will be raising a glass while shedding a tear at Brixton. Much love to his family and friends. RIP, Philip.

Re: POGUES DECEMBER 2013 Live Shows UK

WOOHOOO!!! Wasn't planning an overseas trip due to impending move, and since that move depends on a job I don't yet have, I don't know which airport to book out of but I do know that I WILL BE THERE! I missed out last year, but won't be making that mistake again.

Re: RDS Dec 22

Agree with comments about the poorly run venue. My friend and I actually had no idea what the wristbands were for until I just read this thread. We got in early as I was determined to see Urban Voodoo Machine (very glad to have made the effort, they didn't disappoint). Sounds as though it might actu...

Re: Baltimore

Just wanted to add my thanks to the guys for putting on an outstanding show in Baltimore! I think I've just about recovered by today  This was my first time seeing the Pogues in the States since around 1990/91(?), so wasn't sure what to expect of the crowd. Especially after seeing the Newcastl...

Just saw this. Brilliant news, Mr. Chevron! Looking forward to seeing the results of your labors with the cds and seeing you back with the bands!

Those last 2 are mine, and yeah, sorry about the poor camera work. We were in the very back plus it's near impossible to stand still (or keep from getting jostled) at a Pogues show. Here's my final vid from the show, Fiesta: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vtJ4mOlw7K0 Probably better to close your ey...

Too true dat. I'm only just recovered from Newcastle and Manchester, and I was stood well in the back at both shows (actually last row in the seats for Newcastle...not that anyone actually sat up there). This over 40 thing really blows sometimes.
