You missed out 'and a red neck'. :D

Well if you are going to McGinns, the name has been changed to "The Twa Heided Man" which is still a reference to Matt McGinn. It might be one of his poems or songs. I dont know. Its at Central station at the bottom of Hope Street. It was a favourite hang out for Shane in the Popes days. I have never seen him in it though

I will have a short black Jerkin on and will probably be the only person in the bar not pissed.

I'll be going to McGinns after work around 5:30 then up to the Brazen Head around 7 oclock. McGinns is built onto Central station and is dead easy to get to and the Brazen is a two minute walk to the O2. I might go to McChuills for a wee while too. McChuills usually has great music on and used to be owned by the guy that had had the mucky Duck in Shotts

For Newcastle, O'Neils opposite the train station will be the best bet....other than that The Star opposite the O2 will be busy before the gig

Have fun on the spring tour territa, wish I had the money to go to New York but it´s impossible unless I win a lottery :D :D

hahaha, I remember! one of you was entering, and the other exiting, the bathroom. He noticed your shirt (red with white letters) which was of the Swedish band you follow, and there was a conversation in Swedish.

I agree with Phro, if I win the lottery you all are coming over to New York!

So that´s what happened  I thought it was something like that, you have a fantastic memory territa. I went to Glasgow alone and remember writing on the forum with fans about meeting at The Brazen Head. It was just the locals there when I arrived and I started chatting with some Scottish guys. I have a slight memory that I was just about leaving for another pub with them when I bumped into you. What a difference a t-shirt can make :D

thank you terry. i've got some maps printed out and i'll be staying within a 3 mile (4.828 kilometers for you europen folks) radius of the venue and the brazen head. i'm excited. i wish you could be there but i'll see you in new york. wish i could meet up with you, too, mats. i was looking forward to it a couple of years back. if i win a lottery i'll be sure to fly you out :D (i'd actually see about hiring the boys for a "medusans only" gig; that way i CAN'T get kicked out, again!) While looking for these maps I ran across my emails canceling the last trip texasmick and I'd planned. (We were to leave four years ago tomorrow, but he'd married somebody else three weeks prior. Five weeks prior, he was insisting he still wanted to go on this trip.) That makes it five years since I've been to Glasgow and seen the Pogues there, and it still feels like yesterday.

ENJOY Glasgow for me Phro. :)

Here's a link to a great map of Glasgow. http://www.glasgowguide.co.uk/maps.html

It hasn't been updated, the venue is still listed as "Carling Academy" (#10 at 6E on the grid). The Bridge Street train (underground) station is marked by the big "S" - very close, but check for the time it closes, otherwise you're walking or taking a taxi back.

The Brazen Head (6F) is located at 1-3 Cathcart Rd. It's on a map here:

http://www.streetmap.co.uk/map.srf?x=25 ... hp=ids.srf

McGinns is located at 16 Hope St., in grid block 4E, I think.
