What's also happening here is that some vaccinated people have no symptoms. Symptoms are one of the big motivators for testing, so these people aren't getting tested, naturally enough. So nobody has a good handle on the real rate of infection right now.

If people stop getting tested, the number of positive tests falls.
More people are choosing not to know they have it and the spreading they are doing is not being picked up because those they pass it to don't get tested either. And so it goes on.

Well. To be honest it's all pretty unclear. Before The Great Unlockdown, there was a definite upsurge in cases that's reckoned to have been at least partially attributed to the Euro 2020-One-Year-Late football. Which may have meant that the figures bucked what would have been the expected trend at that point. Recently they've gone down significantly from that latest peak, though it should also be noted that reported cases have in fact been going up again for the last two days. There has also been a reported decrease in the number of people being tested (maybe that's down to an "if-I've-got-it-I-don't-want-to-know-about-it" feeling). And hospital admissions have been heading upwards for a while now, and so have daily numbers of Covid-related deaths.

Vaccine rollout, which had been going pretty well, has now slowed significantly, and take-up hasn't been great among the under-30s. And of course we may not yet be seeing the full picture of what the results of The Opening of the Gates of Doom will be, as it'll take a while for cases to come through.

This has in fact been my considered opinion on the world and life in general for some years now. So I agree.

I'm very happy for him to take up permanent residency there. He's always been a pillock. I knew him in my youth, when he was just that weird kid in the park who wouldn't shut up about the New York Dolls long enough to pass the football. Hated him then, hate him more now!

Do Butlins allow "foreigners" or people of colour in? Because the old racist wouldn't want to be playing there if so.

Clapton's got a long history of blaming his disgraceful, racist utterances on the effect of the drugs he was taking at the time. Funny that the cvnt is so anti vax now.

Don't miss Morrissey's Las Vegas residency from August 28th - September 5th. The show will serve as an intimate, invigorating dive into his expansive career from his early days to the new album.

There’s at least two Gordon Ramsey restaurants there, an Old Homestead Steakhouse, Rao’s meatballs, etc., etc.

Johnny Marr is opening for the Killers soon

Had to look that up, LOL.

Suppose it's like saying Magic Mountain or the county fair to a US act.

I think I saw one of those places in a Sweet documentary. Well, a documentary on the lead singer, Brian Connolly.

What's the big, famous amusement park, beach resort called? The Jersey Shore or Coney Island of Britain?

As many times as I've been to England, I've stayed put in London, except when I went to Donnington and once to Salisbury.

Loser. :)

Clapton recorded an album nearby and apparently went to this classic car event held on Fridays. The old people in my extended family thought that was cool. I think I'd just laugh and heckle "Slowhand" or "Cocaine!" myself. Put him on the list with Gordon Matthew Thomas Sumner. What has that bald bastard been up to? ZZZZZzzzzz.

Uh, Eric Clapton (who is vaccinated) won’t play places that require audiences to be vaccinated to attend?
Because he had a reaction to the vaccine but apparently has recovered enough to travel and perform his boring as fuck music.
Isn’t he only allowed to travel to Chicago and perform because he’s vaccinated? Fucking hypocrite.

Maybe don’t be a raging heroin addict half your life and things will go a bit easier.

A (former) IV drug addict whining about adverse shot reactions? LMFAO.

That's a thought. As we're all feckin doomed, the only thing to do is to get some humour out of it, though of course satire is dead now, as you just seriously couldn't make it up any more.

Or we could just market the shirts, then sit and have fun counting our dosh until we burn. Alternatively we could blow it all on a big willy-shaped rocket and have ten minutes of fun in space before we crash back down into the world of fire, flood and pestilence.
