We stopped playing it some time in 1985. "Poor Paddy" survived into 1986 or so.

I've never heard it played and I've been a fan for about twenty years.

Yeah, well spotted. There's a story behind it but it's not worth repeating.

Fantastic gig, I never thought Auld Triangle would be done. My mate caught one of trays and another threw Shane his lighter, only for it to be dropped and lost! Oh well, at least it's a cool story. No way you could have made that a better gig, although I could have smacked the guy next to me who shouted "Nice speedboat" during fairytale of new york. Wanker

Highlights for me were Young Ned - Terry's voice was the best for years, Thousands of Sailors - Phil on top form and The Auld Triangle - never thought it'd get done live again.
I think the boy's highlight was getting a big handful of fairytale snow. 8)

All the set lists have looked awesome so far - I seriously can't wait. Bringing 5 virgin Poguers with me too.

F@#k!!!

Philip, you just have to play that instead of Waxies Dargle at Brixton on Sunday night. That was the song that first got me into the Pogues.

(If there was a begging emoticon, it would be displayed here)

Amen to that.

In fact how about playing both?

Or how about playing everything…? Knock off at 11ish as per normal for an hour or so then come back on and play the remaining songs in the catalogue. I’m not back at work till Tuesday afternoon so I’ve no rush to get back up north….
