Hello Phillip,

I have see The Pogues last saturday at The Melkweg Amsterdam, and I enjoyed it very much, it was an awsome gig.

The band was in my opinion in Great shape and they smiled a lot, so the passion explodes off the stage.

It was my second time to see The Pogues live, and it was an experience I will never forget.

Hope to see you soon come back to Amsterdam.

Is there maybe possible a chance that the band will return next year? Me and a lot of fans like to see you soon return.

And I have another question that is maybe not new, but are there a chance that a great gig will be released on DVD or Blu ray? Hope that also very much, so we can enjoy it forever.

Hope that you can give me and the rest of the fans a hopefully positive answer to that question.

I will thank you from the bottom of my heart and soul for the great show, and I wish the band and you a lot of succes for the next gigs.

I hope to see you soon again.

For now I wish you a great vacation after the hopefully succesful gigs, and hope you soon return the stages.

My best wishes for you and the band.

Many thanks, with kind regards,

Raymond

Thank you for your kind words, No plans for a DVD right now, alas.

It has been a brilliant night in Amsterdam and it was a brilliant weekend in this fantastic town. Thanks a lot Pogues, another highlight after the great show in Glasgow last Christmas. Was the first gig for my daugther and she was very happy to see all the crazy guys from the balcony! Cheers, Dirk

Hopefully to come back soon to Amsterdam.

I have made a lot of pictures, which you could fine here https://picasaweb.google.com/110728468069952398630/ThePoguesMelkwegAmsterdam09072011?authuser=0&feat=directlink.

I have also filmed the first song of the evening ''Streams of Whiskey'', which you could see at : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IH-h2e2NByQ

It's a little dark because it was made with a normal photocamera, but I hope you will like it as wel.

Greetings,

Raymond

P.s I hope you like my Pics, hope to hear your reactions.

Hey Raymond,

I also made some pics, but it will take a week or so, before the are ready. When you are interested, please tell me

Best wishes,
Bud

That was one mighty performance and the audience really interacted well (again!). For me this was one of the best gigs I've seen over the years now as everyone was having so much fun and Shane was on top form!

I think the setlist was similar to the Bonn one with Kitty, Boys and Waltzing Mathilda

Amsterdam was effin' great. What a joy to hear 'The Band Played Waltzing Mathilda' live. The rest was equally great. But wassup with no xxl tourshirts being avaible again :(

If they come around again in 2012, I'll be there again. I'm hoping for a new studioalbum which will probably won't happen. Shane hasn't even have to sing on all songs. There are more great singers in the band.
